More Gliph Fail

When I wrote my original critique of Gliph's meta-wallet model where it works on top of existing web wallet services an important point was that no set of different services with different operators can or should be trusted equally as counterparties when holding Bitcoin in one's name. This has been recently demonstrated as one of the web wallet services BIPS is discontinuing their consumer web wallet service because it was hacked, and for some reason they see it fit to continue operating a payment processing service for businesses in spite of having been too hacked to continue operating a consumer webwallet.

Stop using web services as wallets and pretending apps hyping security are actually secure merely because CoinDesk publishes nearly any press release they receive verbatim. If you continue using webservices as bitcoin wallets you may want to hedge against future hurt by investing in this.
